A palavra \u00e9 formada pela jun\u00e7\u00e3o de&nbsp;<em>folk&nbsp;<\/em>(povo) e&nbsp;<em>lore<\/em>&nbsp;(sabedoria ou conhecimento).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O folclore \u00e9 o conjunto de express\u00f5es e manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es culturais que simboliza a cultura popular e apresenta grande import\u00e2ncia na identidade de um povo, de uma na\u00e7\u00e3o. A tradi\u00e7\u00e3o folcl\u00f3rica \u00e9 transmitida atrav\u00e9s das gera\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O folclore \u00e9 o produto da cultura de um pa\u00eds e cada pa\u00eds tem elementos \u00fanicos de folclore. O folclore brasileiro, por exemplo, est\u00e1 repleto de lendas sobre criaturas misteriosas e sobrenaturais, como o Boto, a Iara, o Curupira, o Saci ou a Mula Sem Cabe\u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O folclore une, principalmente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Costumes e valores locais<\/li><li>Tradi\u00e7\u00e3o oral e hist\u00f3rias contadas<\/li><li>Cren\u00e7as e supersti\u00e7\u00f5es<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A UNESCO \u00e9 uma organiza\u00e7\u00e3o internacional que tenta salvaguardar o patrim\u00f4nio cultural e sensibilizar o povo para a import\u00e2ncia da heran\u00e7a folcl\u00f3rica e necessidade de preserva\u00e7\u00e3o da cultura popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Folclore brasileiro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O folclore brasileiro \u00e9 muito rico e h\u00e1 uma grande variedade de manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es culturais em todo o Brasil.
